Salmon Rivers Closing in Zone 4

DFO advises anglers that due to extremely high water temperatures and/or low water levels, the following rivers in Zones 4 will be restricted to morning angling only effective one hour after sunset on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

During this period, angling is permitted from one hour before sunrise to 10:00 am each day, and will be closed to angling from 10:01 am to one hour before sunrise on the following day.

The rivers will reopen as conditions improve. Please refer the 2022 Angler's Guide for further information on the environmental protocol.

#44 Northern Arm River, Bay of Exploits

#45 Peter's River, Bay of Exploits

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2022-129, 2022-130, 2022-131, 2022-132 and 2022-133 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2022-134, 2022-135, 2022-136, 2022-137 and 2022-138 come into effect at 1800 hours on July 27, 2022.
