DFO advises that the details of the 2022-2023 management measures for the 4R Herring fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador are now available at:

Please be advised that the tolerance of the number of small fish caught and retained will be 20% of the number of longer fish caught for all herring fleets in 4R.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-287 has been revoked and Variation Order 2022-045 comes into effect on May 4, 2022.
