Reminder - Fixed Gear Herring in NAFO Division 3Ps
DFO would like to remind harvesters that the fixed gear herring fishery for NAFO Sub division 3Ps Herring Fishing Areas 11 (Fortune Bay - east of Pass Island) was opened at 0600 hours on January 31, 2022 for gillnets only.
DFO reminds fish harvesters to complete all applicable fishing logs.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2022-005 has been revoked and Variation Order 2022-006 comes into effect on February 12, 2022.
"Notices to Fish Harvesters" for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at Newfoundland and Labrador Region
