DFO advises that the directed cod fishery in NAFO Sub-Division 3Ps will close to all fleets at 2400 hours on Friday, February 28, 2025.

All fishing gear must be removed from the water by closing time.

This closure applies to all vessel classes.

Fish harvesters are reminded to return their Inshore Fixed Gear Logbooks after the conclusion of fishing operations.

DFO advises that the Unit 2 Redfish fishery will close to the less than 65 feet mobile gear fleet based in 4R3Pn, Vessel Classes C405, C406, C422, C437,and C440, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 2000 hours. The quota for this fleet is expected to be taken by closing time.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2025-007 has been revoked and Variation Order 2025-011 comes into effect on February 25, 2025.

DFO advises that the 3NOP portion of the Industry-DFO Longline Survey Program for 3NOPs4VWX5Zc Atlantic halibut will open to NL-based participants (Vessel Class A282) on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 0600 hours and close Monday, March 31, 2025.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2024-327 has been revoked and Variation Order 2025-008 comes into effect on February 13, 2025.

DFO advises that the 3O Mobile Gear Redfish fishery will open at 0600 hours on Monday, February 10, 2025, for the less than 65’ mobile gear fleet, vessel classes C150, C151, C175, and C176.

The 2025 quota for this fishery is 1,086 t.

Conditions of license are available through the National Online Licensing System (NOLS).
