DFO reminds harvesters that herring fisheries in all Herring Fishing Areas (HFAs) for fixed gear (gillnet, trap and tuck seines) are closed.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2026-018 has been revoked, and Variation Order 2026-020 comes into effect on March 31, 2026.
