DFO advises anglers that the following rivers will re-open to normal angling hours as of one hour before sunrise on August 1, 2025.

38. South Brook, Hall’s Bay & tributary streams
42. Leamington River
44. Northern Arm River, Bay of Exploits
45. Peter’s River, Bay of Exploits
50. *Northwest Gander River (Tributary of the Gander River)

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2025-162, 2025-163, 2025-164, 2025-165 and 2025-166 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2025-168, 2025-169, 2025-170, 2025-171 and 2025-172 will come into effect at 1800 hours on July 31, 2025.
