Salmon Rivers Re-opening in Salmon Fishing Areas 3, 4, and 14A
DFO advises anglers that the following rivers will re-open to normal angling hours as of one hour before sunrise on July 25, 2025.
Salmon Fishing Area 3
27. * Sop’s Arm River, including Main Doucer’s, Natlin’s, Corner Brook, and all tributary streams
Salmon Fishing Area 4
46. Exploits River & tributary streams
-Main stem of mid-Exploits from Grand Falls fishway to Red Indian Lake dam
-Main stem, from Stoney Brook to Exploits Bay
Salmon Fishing Area 14A
154. *Lomond Main River, (East Arm, Bonne Bay) including East Branch
*indicates river has closed sections (reference Anglers’ Guide 2025-26)

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that 2025-149, 2025-150, 2025-151, 2025-152 and 2025-153 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2025-156, 2025-157, 2025-158, 2025-159 and 2025-160 come into effect on July 25.
