Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Closing In Trinity Bay and Conception Bay
DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear will close on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 2000 hours in Trinity Bay and Conception Bay (Capelin Fishing Areas 6 and 7).
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2023-176 has been revoked and Variation Order 2023-221 comes into effect on August 16, 2023.
"Notices to Fish Harvesters" for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at Newfoundland and Labrador Region
