Salmon Rivers Re-opening in Zones 2, 9, and 13

DFO advises anglers that the following rivers will re-open to normal angling hours as of one hour before sunrise on August 2, 2023.

11. Sand Hill River and tributary streams
12. Reid's Pond River and Reid's Pond
182. Black Bear River and tributaries
183. Paradise River and tributaries
184. White Bear River and tributaries
185. Dykes River and tributaries
186. North River and tributaries

SFA 9
77. Biscay Bay River
79. *Northwest Brook, Trepassey
80. Peter’s River

SFA 13
137. *Great Codroy River, including Broom Brook, Ryan’s Brook & Mullchingnic Brook; the North Branch of Great Codroy, including Upper Brook, Lower Brook & Crooked Brook; the South Branch of Great Codroy, including Bullhouse Brook    
138. *Highlands River & tributary streams
143. Flat Bay Brook & tributary streams
145. *Southwest and Bottom Brooks & tributary streams
146. *Harry’s River, including Spruce Brook, Little George’s, Meadows Brook, Pinch Gut River, Stag Hill Brook & Gull Pond Brook
150.Humber River (main stem of the lower Humber but no tributaries, from Boom Siding (its outlet on Deer Lake) to the lower end of Shellbird Island)

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Orders 2023-144, 2023-168, 2023-169, 2023-170, 2023-171, and 2023-172 have been revoked and Variation Orders 2023-180, 2023-181, 2023-182, 2023-183, 2023-184, and 2023-185 come into effect at 1800 hours on August 1, 2023.
