Fixed Gear Capelin Fishery Opening for portion of the Southern Shore (Capelin Fishing Area 8C)
DFO advises that the capelin fishery for vessels using fixed gear will open on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 0600 hours in that portion of Capelin Fishing Area 8 (Southern Shore) in the following area:
Cape Neddick and Cape Pine
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2023-105 has been revoked and Variation Order 2023-126 comes into effect at 0600 hours on July 4, 2023.
"Notices to Fish Harvesters" for all commercial fisheries are now available online under the Fishery Notices link on the DFO NL Region webpage at Newfoundland and Labrador Region
