SNOW CRAB SEASON EXTENSION FOR SELECT CRAB FISHING AREAS IN NAFO DIVISIONS 3LNO
DFO advises that the Snow crab fishery will now close at 2000 hours on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in select Crab Management Areas in NAFO Divisions 3LNO. This season extensions applies exclusively to the following Crab Management Areas:
Inshore:
• 6A (Inner and Outer)
• 6C
• 8A
Small Supplementary:
• NS
• MS
• 8B
• 8BxN
Fulltime and Large Supplementary:
• MS
• MS/EX
• 3L EX
• 3L 200
• 3N 200
• 3O 200
All other areas will close as scheduled at 2000 hours on July 31, 2022.
Harvesters are reminded that all fishing gear must be removed from the water by closing time.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2022-111 has been revoked and Variation Order 2022-127 comes into effect on July 26, 2022.
