Herring Mobile Gear Opening in St. Mary's Bay and Placentia Bay for >55' and <55' fleets
Fisheries and Oceans Canada advises that the Herring fishery in St. Mary's Bay, Herring Fishing Area 09 and Placentia Bay, Herring Fishing Area 10 for mobile gear vessels greater than and less than 55 feet in length, will open at 0600 hours on January 24, 2022.
2022 licence document available in the National Online Licencing System will be required for fishing activity.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2021-296 has been revoked and Variation Order 2022-01 comes into effect on January 21, 2022.
