2016 Fixed Gear less than 65 foot Vessel Greenland Halibut Fishery Opening in NAFO Divisions 2+3K

 DFO advises  harvesters that the fixed gear Greenland Halibut fishery in NAFO Divisions 2+3K  is now open  for vessels less than 65 feet and will close on September 09, 2016 at 2000 hours.

Fish Harvesters are required to hail-out to an At Sea Observer Company 24 hours prior to leaving port.

Licences conditions are available through DFO’s National On-line Licencing System, for those fish harvesters who were contacted by the Department and were issued a fishing permit.

Licence conditions valid for August 27, 2016 to September 09, 2016 must be on board prior to fishing.

The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2016-209 has been revoked and Variation Order 2016-218 comes into effect on September 1, 2016 at 1800 hours.
