NOTICE TO FISH HARVESTERS

2020 SNOW CRAB SEASON OPENING FOR OFFSHORE 3K, 3LNO, 3Ps, and 4R3Pn
DFO advises that the Snow Crab fishery will open at 6:00 a.m. on Friday May 8, 2020 for the purpose of travelling to the fishing ground for the following:
- Area 4
- 3L Small Supps, 3L Large Supps and 3L Greater than 65’ fleet
- 3Ps Supplementary fleet
- 4R Outside of 8 mile fleet
Fish harvesters are reminded that they are not authorized to set Crab traps until 72 hours after the Snow Crab fishery season has opened. Therefore, any setting of Crab traps or possession of Crab before 06:00 hours on Monday, May 11 is prohibited.
Licence fees and licence conditions are available through the National Online Licencing System (NOLS).
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2020-027 has been revoked and Variation Order 2020-045 comes into effect on May 8, 2020.
