CAPELIN FIXED GEAR FISHERY CLOSING IN A PORTION OF AREA 14
DFO advises that the Capelin fixed gear fishery using traps and bar seine (including modified bar seine known as "tuck seine"), for vessels less than 65 feet (19.8m) will close from Broom Point to Cape Riche on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2000 hours.
Pending landing assessment, a reopening may be announced.
The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region gives notice that Variation Order 2019-129 has been revoked and Variation Order 2019-130 comes into effect on June 29, 2019.
